Direct wire connection to A and B ports. Theoretic wire distance is 1.2km. Only shielded twisted two wire in pair is adequate. Cat-5 cable is also commonly used.

External transparent wireless module is possible, 2.4GHz wireless module, GSM module and etc.
PC Adapter
For wired connection , RS485 to USB converter or RS485 to RS232 (COM) converter is required.
Dedicated receivers may be required for wireless connection.
